Rent a GPU

What renting a GPU leaves behind, and for how long

Privacy policy

A rented GPU holds your code, your data and your model weights. This page says exactly what we record, what we never collect, what we do not look at, and when anyone else gets to see a record.

Quick answer

What does GPUwithCrypto know about me?

Very little. GPUwithCrypto needs no ID, no selfie, no card and no email: you sign in with an account number. For billing it records each instance's GPU model, host, start and stop time, and it does not read the files on your instance's disk. Crypto payments are public on their blockchains. Records go to an authority only when a law compels us.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

SerpGoat LLC, which operates GPUwithCrypto. Questions about this policy or about your records go to [email protected].

2. What do we record?

Only what running and billing GPU instances requires:

  • Your account number, which is how you sign in. Sign in with an account number; an email address is optional.
  • Top-ups and orders: the amount, the coin, the network, the transaction ID and the blocks of GPU-hours you bought.
  • One billing line per instance: the GPU model, the host, and the start and stop time. This is how per-minute billing is calculated.
  • The SSH public keys you add, so that your instances accept your connection.
  • Your email address, only if you add one, and the emails you send to support.

How long each record is kept is in section 9.

3. What do we never collect?

  • No identity documents, selfies or company papers: a prepaid balance does not need them.
  • No card numbers: payment is crypto only.
  • No SSH private keys. You add your SSH public key in the dashboard; we never see or store your private key.
  • No copy of the files on your instance's disk.
  • No advertising profile, and no sale of data to anyone.

4. Do you look at the files on my instance?

No. We do not read the files on your disk: your code, datasets, model weights and outputs are not opened, copied or scanned by us.

Every instance has local NVMe disk, sized for its GPU and shown before you start. The disk is wiped when you delete the instance, so copy your checkpoints out first. Instances have 1 to 8 GPUs depending on the host. Before you start, the dashboard shows each host’s country, GPU count, form factor (SXM or PCIe) and interconnect, so you know in which country your files are stored while the instance exists.

5. Are my crypto payments private?

Not on the blockchain itself. The networks behind BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC are public ledgers: anyone can see a transfer's addresses, amount and time. We never publish which account a transfer funded.

Incoming payments are checked against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses; a payment from a listed address is not credited. That check uses the sending address, not your name or any document.

6. What is the optional email used for?

To recover your account and to answer you. Your account number is how you sign in, so store it carefully. With an optional email on file you can recover it; with no email, a lost number is gone for good. Low-balance warnings appear in the dashboard and the API, so an email address is not needed to run instances.

7. Does the website use cookies or trackers?

The public pages of this site carry no advertising and load no third-party analytics scripts. The dashboard uses a cookie to keep you signed in. Payment pages show the amount and the deposit address, with no outside tracking.

8. When do you share data?

Data is never sold, rented or traded. Records go to an authority only when a law compels us, and then only the records that exist. We do not read your disk, so we hold no copy of its content to hand over.

Child sexual abuse material found on the service is reported to the authorities, as the acceptable use policy says.

9. How long do you keep records?

For billing we record each instance’s GPU model, host, start and stop time; these lines are kept for 30 days. We do not read the files on your disk. Account number, orders and top-ups stay while the account exists, then only as long as accounting law asks. Authorities receive records only when a law compels us.

After the account is closed, its account number, orders and top-ups are kept only for the period that accounting law requires, then deleted. The disk of an instance is wiped when you delete the instance.

10. How can I see or erase my data?

Write to [email protected] to ask what we hold about your account or to close it. Give an instance ID or a transaction ID so support can find the records. Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your SSH private key or your API keys, by email or in a chat.

Before closing an account, use your balance or check the refund policy: it says which part of a balance can be paid out.

11. Can this policy change?

Yes. The date at the top of this page is the date of the version in force. A change that reduces your privacy applies only to records created after it is published here.
